The Sweetest Thing - sketch

Good Morning Everyone,

I have a busy day. We are out early to go to my mom's and celebrate her birthday. I need to get 2 ards done before that, so this post will be short and sweet. I created this card a few days ago using the sketch from The Sweetest Thing, and I wanted to post it while the challenge is still going on :

It's going in my stash for manly cards. I know, cupcakes aren't usually manly but I think the color scheme definitly is more manly than me usually pinks and purples.

Well, it gotta run. Hav a great day. Thanks for popping in!!

Love You So...

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to post this little card before I called it an evening. It's been a long day, so forgive my shortness.

This past weeks challenge at CARDS was to create a project with rolled paper. I did the old fashioned paper quilling. It was alot of fun. Here is my valentine card :
I know I'm not the best quiller but it was fun to do something that I do not normally do.

You can check out the rest of the great "rolled paper" projects over at CARDS blog. Next weeks challenge os an easy one - square punch. Should be fun!!

Thanks for popping in.
Have a good night

I used the sketch over at Card Patterns
Now we want to see what you can come up with!!
Hope over the Fab 'n Funky challenge blog to enter your creations.

Have a good day!!

Super Girly - Just for Fun!!

Hey Everyone,

I'm back with two girly cards for you.
This first one is one of my favourites in a long time. I wasn't thrilled with my coloring but when the whole card came together - I love it. Something about how muted it is?!! I don't know, it speaks to me...
Anyways, enough about my blabbing, let's just show you the card already :
Detailed shot :

And for the second card :
and a detailed shot :

See, I told you - super girly!!
And a rarity, I'm not playing along with any challenges for these. I just made them, for the sake of making them. Let me know what you think?

thanks, Alexis

The Sweet Stop

Hello, hello.
I thought I would grab a quiet moment and post this little card I made yesterday.
It's snowing here today and has been on and off for a few days so my daughter is outside sledding with the neighborhood friends, the house is quiet so I wanted to show you a new little card.
Here it is :
Definitly not my usual colors but I am trying to branch out and be daring!! I usually like unique colors, so I thought, why not?? I let the patterned paper do the talking. It said browns and yellows so that's what I reached for with my Copics.
I used the sketch over at The Sweet Stop.

Hope you like it.
I am going to run and make my daughter some hot cocoa so she can warm up when she's ready to come in!!

Have a great day!!
Warm hugs (especially if you are in Vancouver today!!)
