The last hooray!!

Okay, I know Christmas is over but I thought I would bid it one farewell hooray!!
I love Christmas and don't want it to be over yet... but all good things come to an end and with that I'm posting one final Christmas card. I made this card for all the guys (at work) in one of our warehouses, to give to the company mom. She is truely a special lady and does so much for all of us that I wanted the card to be something special and unique. Here's what I came up with :

Obviously one of my favourite stamp lines - Whippersnapper, and I colored it using my Tombo watercolor markers. I punched some snowflake shapes, used a rub-on sentiment, some ribbon from American crafts, 4 black pearls from Kaiser and ta-da!! A cute Chiristmas card.

I hope you enjoy, becasue I'm moving on...
No more Christmas cards for a while!!

I have to get my samples done for February card classes at Precious Memories. So I'd better run. I post some sneak peaks of the classes in a later post. Stay tuned...

Check out all of the classes going on at Precious Memories :

we hope to see you there!!

Quick and Easy Christmas Creations

Okay, so I'm sure you're all feeling the time crunch of Christmas being only one full day away. I know I am!! Why is it whenever you think you're all prepared - you find something else that needs to be done. Well, that's me!! I feel like the list is never-ending. On that note - I'll make this post easy, just like the below samples. I needed a few cards for my siblings and parents (and let's just be honest... I really didn't feel like make MORE Christmas cards) but it had to be done.

I had some kraft bags lying around and I was going to put scratch 'n wins in my siblings cards... so... I skipped the cards and decorated bags instead. I filled them with chocolate and scratch 'n wins. I know they'll love them.

And here is the cards I made, using the same products, for our parents.
In total these projects took me approx. 1 1/2 hours. Not bad for 5 gift bags and 6 cards.

The paper is Basic Grey - Eskimo Kisses and the stamps are Studio G.

Well, gotta run!!
I probably won't be posting until after Christmas so,
Happy Holidays to everyone.

Copic Coloring

3 days left to get all the ends tied up before Christmas. We are pretty much ready to rock and roll. The only thing left for me to do is wrap my husbands stocking stuffers. And that won't take long.

In the previous post I had mentioned that I had spent the morning stamping so I would have some images to color when I had some spare time. Well, I've slowly been working through the pile and I wanted to share it with you. All of them have been colored with copics.

And you can see from the next picture that I still have a huge stack to color!!

I also managed to create a few cards. I love this little girl. She is so sweet and adorable.
 I hope you enjoy too!!

and the final card...
a turtle card. I love turtles.

happy holidays!! From my family to yours, we hope you have a safe and merry holiday!!

Snowman Soup

10 days and counting...

We love Christmas in our house and this afternoon was a great time to do a project I have been meaning to find time to do for a while!! Every year I like my daughter to give away home made gifts to all of her aunts, uncles, grandparents ect. This year we decided on homemade Snowman Soup.

What is Snowman Soup, you ask...

It's super easy, super cute and great for all the "hard to buy" for people in your life!!

We started with cone bags. Filled them with 1 cup of hot chocolate, added 1/2 cup of marshmellows, and topped it off with either candy canes (my daughters favorite) or chocolate chips. Twist up the bag, throw a tag on it and voila, homemade goodies!!

We ended up making 15 of them. It only took us 2 hours and my 5yr old did most of the work!!
The tags are double sided and have an adorable snowman soup poem on the other side. My daughter practiced her printing by writing on all, but two, of them. (She was too tired by the end)

I'm sure the recipients will be thrilled to recieve these.
We got the idea from an amazing store in Surrey, BC -
Essential Packaging

Hope you enjoy!!
Happy Holidays!!

Tombo Turtle

Sunday again...
The day of rest, relaxation and football, in our house.
As my husband is busy watching football and my daughter has her cousin over for a play date, I have some spare time for creating. I have spent the past hour or so stamping a bunch of different images, so they will be ready when I get the chance to colour. I have been primarily using copics for coloring lately but here is an example of the Tombo watercolours. This little turtle has been featured in many of my cards. He can be colored in so many different colors, perfect for matching to all sorts of patterned paper.
Happy Sunday!!
Hope you are enjoying some well deserved down time!!

Whippersnapper Favorites!!

Okay, so I'm finally done with Christmas cards and I can't wait to start creating for fun again. No more orders and repitition!! Yee-haw. I really wanted to share with you some new cards with a few stamps I have recently picked up, but I haven't had the time to create any yet. I cleaned off my work space yesterday so you can be assured that there will be some new cards on the way!!  For now, here are a few cards using my favourite stamp line - Whippersnapper. I love these adorable characters. I use them for alot of cards. I used to color them in with pencil crayons and tombo markers but I have evolved to the copic craze!! I hope you like them.

I'm not sure if this last one is Whippersnapper?? But still cute!!
