Let's Play Along

Hey Everyone,

First of all, I want to say
"Hey Canada"
!!!!!!!!!
I'm sitting here with the lap top on my lap, in the living room. We are watching the nail-biting hockey game!! Canada just scored, in overtime!!!!
Hey!!!!!!
So exciting for CANADA!!!
WOO-HOO

It's been a week since I last posted, not to say I haven't been busy working on creative things. I had to complete my samples for April classes at Precious Memories. I was ambitious this time and did samples for 4 card classes, 1 scrapbook layout class and a gift box and card set. So I have been very busy but today I had a chance to create for the fun of it and it's been great.

Here is a card I created for the Color Throwdown challenge :

(I obviously tipped the sketch on the side)
And here is another card I created for
And the sketch over at

And last but not least...

and the inside :

Well,
that's it, that's all for me today!!

It's taken me so long to compose this post because I have been glued to the t.v.
I'm so excited for CANADA!!
There is fireworks and cowbells going off, even in the complex where I live!!
Wow!!
Definitly something to remember!!

Okay, well, have a good day

Monday Morning Mojo

So, my baby is home and it's so nice to see her!!
Oh... I missed her!!

Anyways, quick post...
here is a card I made for the current Etsy Inspired challenge.
Here is my inspiration :

and here is my creation :
I love all of the pastel colors used in the soaps and so I chose to use some pastels in my card. And obviously the fairy tops it off!!

Here is a card for the sketch over at Crazy 4 Challenges

It's just a simple card, but I love the sketch. I think it's an awesome way to use more than one patterened paper. I'm sure to use this sketch again!!

And for the last card for this morning :
it's for 2 challenges...
the color challenge at JUGS

and the sketch is from this weeks Card Patterns Blog

(I tipped it on it's side)

Hope you enjoy!! Have a great Monday!!

A Little Sweetness for Sunday

Don't forget to
for a blog candy giveaway!!

*********************

Happy Sunday Everyone!!

I am SOOOOOO excited today because my baby comes home. My 5yr old little sunshine has been away with my parents for 5 days and we miss her like crazy!! This isn't the first time she's been away but man, oh man, it's soooo quiet around our house and I can't wait to see her. We will be leaving to pick her up from the airport in a few hours and I can't wait!!

Yesterday I had a few hours to breate - since it was so quiet around our house - and I will share a few cards with you today (and over the next few days...)

This first card is for the Saturday Spotlight - which was to get messy!! Ripped, torn, distressed!!
And I also used the sketch from the current challenge at The Sweet Stop.

I like the monocramatic look of this distressed card.

The current OCC Challenge was to try a new technique this week. It fit right in to what I have been working on this week. I have really been wanting to try quilling and so I picked up some supplies at a local craft store. I love the look of it but I wasn't sure if I would have patience enough to pull the pieces together. But it's fun and simple. I will be revealing more quilling cards in the next few weeks. But here is the one for the OCC Challenge. I used the sketch from over at Clean and Simple : FLT
(for the next two cards)

and a close-up of the flower :

Here is another simple card using the Clean and Simple sketch and the current sticker challenge over at CAARDVARKS blog. If you've been following my blog, you know I love Penny Black images so when I saw this sticker set, I knew I had to have it!! Too cute!! Enjoy :

Cute, right??!!
Anyways, I'm going to run and spend some time with my hubby before we have to go...

Have a good afternoon!!

For a Very Brave Little Girl!!

So, yesterday I was cruising through all of the fabulous blogs I love to follow and came across a fabulous artisit. His name is Justin Pike. Totally cute images!! Of course, they are adorable and caught my eye, but what really caught my attention was one of his current posts. He was contacted by a friend who asked him to honour a special little girl. The request was simple : can you please send this special little girl some love. She is 10yrs old and is battling Leukemia . Here is a little piece of the email :

On Friday, December 11th, 2009 my friends daughter Delia was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She is 10 yrs old and is currently being treated at the Denver Children's Hospital.
She loves art, photography and really loves owls. I was hoping that there would be some wonderful women or men out there that would love to send her a card of encouragement. I thought it would bring a smile to Delia's face to be inundated with cards as a special Valentines Day gift from people around the world. Please find it in your heart to bring hope and love to this beautiful spirited girl. Any card will do..but if you have an owl that would be a bonus. Please pass this information around so we can thrill a little girl in her time of hardship!

She is on her second round of chemo and its been a struggle for her, although she is doing better today.
An address for her mail is here.
Att: Delia Cadwallader
2048 Sandhurst Dr.
Castle Rock, CO 80104

So naturally my heart went out to this little girl and I knew I wanted to do something for her. I absolutley adore owls and I knew it would take much to put together something special!!
This is what I will be sending to her :
A CARD
A NOTEBOOK
THE PACKAGE
It doesn't take much to make someone feel special. Please open your hearts and do something nice for someone today!!

Aaaaa, Saturday!!

I love Saturday...
A slow wake up, a cup of tea and pouring over the amazing inspiration in everyone else's blogs!! Love it!!

Last night I watched the opening ceremonies for the olympics!! Weren't they awesome!! The light display was incredible and that poets poem. He was fenominal!! And I also loved when Katy Lang sang. Her voice just radiates through your bones. Both my husband and I had chills. Since the olympics are happening in my own backyard - in live in Vnacouver - it's not hard to get caught up in the buzz and excitement!! It's here - so I might aswell enjoy it!! Welcome world!! We love having you in Vancouver!!

Anyways, on to a few cards and a littlE selfish project...
the first card was created for the
MG Sketch Challenge
and
I used the colour challenge over at Color Dare
(love this little guy)

here are the copics I used to color him and a close up of the little guy :

Stay tuned for more from this little dragon!! I love him and I know I'm going to use him again soon!!
(Stampin' Bella stamp)

And here is a card I created for the Color Throwdown :
(simple and sweet)

And now onto my selfish project.
A few weeks ago I create a notebook cover for the notebooks I used to keep track of different crafting inspirations, challenges ect. I read a comment from that post saying that I lady uses one by her computer and keeps one in her purse. What a great idea!! So I had this adorable paper and here's what I created!!

I LOVE owls and I knew once I saw this paper I had to have it!! The only problem... it was in a paper pack!! So of course, I ended up buying the whole paper pack!! Oh well, I know I'll use the other paper. It is very cute paper - Berry Sweet by K and Company.

Well, have a good weekend!!
