So, I'm home for about an hour while my daughter is off at at birthday party. Just thought I would post the other few cards I created this morning.

For the Sweet Stop sketch challenge :
I'm also going to submit it for the Saturday Spotlight Challenge
(to use a large image in your creations)

I love this little fella. He came on a sheet of stickers by Penny Black.
The color combo is WAY out of the box but I'm trying to let the images speak for the color scheme, and I think he looks adorable.

Adorable, Adorable, Adorable

That's all I can say about the Etsy Inspired challenge store this week. I just want to jump right in and pinch the cheeks on all the adorable kids. I decided to make a card using the inspiration of the whole store. I decided to make a beanie shaped flip-up card. Here is the photo I selected as my color inspiration

(ain't she cute!!)
Pink and Chocolate

with a big flower on the side :

I might save this card for my five year old daughter, for Valentines. She loves all things girly!!
Hope you like!!

****************

So this first creation was triggered by the
Everything but the Kitchen Sink challenge,
(which is to use a box top or cereal box to create any project)
 fun, right?!!

I have been wanting to do a project for myself for a while but I never can find the time. Well, this morning was a time for creating for me. I enjoy playing along with various challenges and my pathetic form of remembering the challenges has been post-it. Post-it in my purse, post-its beside my computer and post-its scattered over my crafting table. It's been a mess. I came across a package of memo pads that my mother-in-law had found when cleaning out her office.
I decided to make a cover for the pad and now I have an adorable note keeping package. And it can live in my purse or wherever and it still looks cute!! When one pad is full, I can just grab another and put it in the cover.
I used a beautiful paper from Basic Grey and green ribon (my favourite color). I love how it came out. My husband wants me to make him a manly one for his medication routine journal. Stay tuned for that!!

And with the left over scraps I made a cute card for The Sweetest Thing sketch challenge
I will be posting more soon, so come back and check for more inspiration!!
Have a happy Saturday!!

The Pink Elephant and Our Creative Corner

Don't forget to click here to be entered into the draw for the blog candy loot!!
***********************************

It's me again!!
My intentions were to post this earlier but you know the saying -
"time flies when you're having fun!!"
It just a quick card that I created for 2 challenges.
(pink, poka dots and a bow)
and the sketch over at Our Creative Corner
I've had this little felt heart sitting in the top drawer of my bins - just waiting patiently to be used. And everytime I go to create a valentine - it's be forgotten. So when I opened the drawer earlier looking for ribbon - I knew this was going to be used for a card today!!
Voila  - happy heart!!

These are for the boys!!

Don't forget to click here to be entered into a draw for a huge score of blog candy!!

*******************************

So, I often am asked to make cards for birthdays, holidays, parties, weddings ect. So, this was no different. I was asked to make a birthday card for a little boys first birthday. It's for the grandson of a lady that I work with. Now, you have to understnad, the lady that I work with is the BEST!! She is one of the sweetest, funniest people that I know!! We spend many hours a week together because we share an office and I've really grown to love her!! Trust me - if you knew her you would too!! - So, I wanted to spend a little extra time on this card and here's what I came up with :

It conviently fits into 2 challenges.

and
The Sketch challenge over at Stampin' Royalty

The animals and the number "1" are cut with my cricut and with suede textured paper. So cute!! I hope she likes it.

And as a bonus - you'll see my next card used the sillouette left from the puppy of the inside (of the birthday card) as the middle focus. The inside of the card reads : Have a dog-gone good day!!

The layout is from the My Grafico Sketch

I chose to use a square instead of a circle.
But I love how this simple card turned out.
And it was all scraps just lying on the table. Gotta love that!!

I'll be back later to post a few more cards!!
~Thanks~

Thinking outside of the box

Don't forget to click here to be entered into a draw for a huge score of blog candy!!
*******************************

Hi again,
I already made a post today announcing a blog candy giveaway,
(follow the link at the top of the page),
but I am home today with a sick daughter and husband so I've had some time this morning to create a few cards. I've got to admit that these are some of my favourite as of recent. I love that the different challenges I participate in, force me to think outisde of my usual creative boundaries and try something new. I love trying new things but ever since I've began blogging the inspiration is endless!!

Okay, well, onto my creations :
Here is a delicate card made to qualify for 2 different challenges
the Mojo Monday sketch and the Color Q challenge this week

I decided to go for the REAL challenge of doing something I don't normally do - a shaped card. The Mojo sketch could either be rectangle or circle and I went for the circle. I love how it turned out.
Here are the colors I used to color this adorable Stampin' Bella girl

This next card was created for the My Grafico challenge. Which was to create a shaped card. I felt like I was already in the swing of things so why not try another. I've wanted to make a card like this for a while but I just never take the time to do it.

It was actually really simple. I just used my cricut to :
cut
 2 - 5" circle from white cardstock
1 - 4 1/2" circle from red cardstock
6 - 1" circles from black cardstock
1 - 2 3/4" circle from black cardstock
and swirly antene from black cardstock

1) I scored the back white piece approx 1/2" from the top
2) I adheared the two white pieces together along the top portion of the score
3) adheared the black 2 3/4" circle to the back side of the red CS
4) adheared the red CS and then black 1" circles
5) I put a strip of tape down the center and used some Ritz black glitter on the strip and the antene.
6) Made a quick hand drawn sentiment and affixed some red jewels and voila.

Simple and cute!!

And last but not least :
(the Jacksonbell challenge was to use unconventional patterned paper)
Hense the fish and fisherboy for a valetine's
But I do love how it came out and I just might give it to my hubby for Valentine's.

Here is the adorable little guy up close :

And the sentiment :

Hope you all enjoyed my latest creations. I know I do!!

Have a great day!!

Hey Everyone,
This crazy week is finally winding down and then - just like that - a new week begins. Today is a regular Sunday around our house. Family time and football. After spending most of the afternoon being bored I decided to sit down at the table and create. Here's what I came up with :

Card # 1 - Pink Elephant sketch

My Card :

Card # 2  - Card Patterns sketch :

and the Etsy Inspired challenge
I chose this photo for my Etsy Inspiration

My card :

I was inspired to use layered flowers to mimic the adorable tu-tu. And the sentiment was inspired by all of the adorable babies in the photos. (How precious are they?)

Card # 3  - Embellish Blog

And the Our Creative Corner sketch :

My Card :

Cadr # 4 - CPS Challenge sketch

My Card

(the challenge is to use red hearts)

(a one layer wonder - imagine - me doing only one layer!! I know, kinda weird right?? Trying to push the comfort level - challenge myself)

Well, I hope this next week is great for everyone!! All the best!!

I Survived!!

So, as I stated in my previous post, last night I had my to teach my first card class at a local craft store (Precious Memories). I was a little nervous before I went but there was no need. The ladies were wonderful and we had a great time. The class was a glitter class, so of course, I came home covered in little glitter spots. I had a great time!! And I'm sending a
~ BIG THANKYOU~
to all of the ladies who came out and joined me for my first class.

Later this month I am doing a Whippersnapper Meets Watercolor Class. (So excited!!)
And for February there are a few more classes :
(come out and take one - it's a blast!!)
If you want to join click here.
Here are the photos of the card we will be creating :

1 Stamp - 4 Ways
(you even get to keep the stamp for yourself!!)

Copic Critters

Fluffles Fun

Money Madness

And now on for my Personal Creations. I had made these a few days ago but I was running short of time last night and only a few cards made it on to the post. Here are the rest :

And the colors chosen were for the current There She Goes Challenge :

I turned the sketch horizontal instead of vertical and here's what I came up with :

I just love this card. I picked up these cute little rain dots, in red, and I think they add a little detail that's too cute :

And of course I colored the little bear with Copics.

And for the second card :
It's the current sketch for The Sweetest Thing :

And the Color Q challenge colors

Here's what I came up with :

I hope everyone has a great day!!
Thanks for stopping by!!
