Fab 'n Funky - All White in the Night

Good Morning Everyone,

Another great Wednesday morning. It's only great becasue of two things :
1. It's like Thursday today becasue Friday is stat holiday for Remeberance Day
2. It's new challenge day at Fab 'n Funky

This week we were challenged to create a card using ONLY WHITE AND 1 OTHER COLOR. Acckk. I love colors. All sorts of colors. I love mixing and matching colors so this was a REAL challenge for me. I found some great patterned paper in my stash (from last year) and went to work.

I used an adorbale image from our sponsor this week. Stamp Fairy. Isn't this snowman just too cute for words. Althought I didn't mix too many colrs I ended up LOVIN' where this card ended up.

Here are the Copic markers I used to color him :

I hope you will all run over and join our challenge this week.
We would love to have you!!

Have a great week.

Mojo Monday - Skating Hedgie

Hello Everyone,

I am trying something new. Today I am attempting to blog this post directly from my phone. I am going to keep this post short but I created a holiday card using this weeks Mojo Monday sketch.

Here is my take :

I went with a rectangle card because the card base was already done and I have WAY more A2 envelopes than I do square. LOL!!

Okay well, gotta run but I hope you enjoyed a little holiday inspiration.

It Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

Christmas cards, that is!!
I am putting together an order for my sister who doesn't live by me. She will be visiting us around Easter and she has gathered her list of cards for the next year, so I am trying to get them all done before that!!

Today I am showing a little set of Christmas thank-you's.
My inspiration was the current sketch at : Card Patterns
I know, I know - you are all probably thinking "Christmas cards already???". But it's better to be prepared than be scurrying at the las minute. What can I say - my sister is a planner. ;)
If you want to play along with the Christmas Card All Year Round challenge, you can check out all of the details here. And you have a whole month to get your cards in!!

Okay, well, I am off to enjoy the sun while it's still showing it's beautiful face.
Have a good day.

Good Evening Ladies
Tonight I have something a little different. Tonight I am going to show you a bunch of Christmas cards that I had previously created. My family has been hounding me for their Christmas card orders so I gathered up all of the cards that I had stock piled and tonight I am going to show you. I hope you enjoy this little bit of inspiration.

Be Merry
Have Your-Elf a Merry Little Christmas
Ginger-house
Hanging Wreath
Happy Holidays
Hot Cocoa
Joyous Holiday
Merry & Bright

Mittens
Polar Friends
Santa's List
Snowflakes
Winter Trees

Okay, well that's all I have for tonight. I'm not sure why I have been hoarding all of these? I have multiples of most of these. There is over 70 cards on my table. Ei-yei-yei. Hopefully these will find a new home this Christmas season.

Hope you are inspired to get cracking on your Christmas cards.
Thanks for checking them out.

Finally a New Post!!

Hello Everyone,

I know, I know, I've been a bad girl!!
I haven't posted in forever. Work and home life are crazy. We have been doing some renos at home so my craft space has been taken over by tools and furniture and all of that good stuff!! But hopefully I will be getting back into the swing of things.

Tonight I have a cute and quick Christmas card to share. I made it with the Papertake Weekly sketch in mind.

(Forgive the lighting - it's drab and dreary here today.)

Hope you like.
I created a few more Christmas cards that I will (hopefully) share over the next few days.

Thanks,
Alexis

The last hooray!!

Okay, I know Christmas is over but I thought I would bid it one farewell hooray!!
I love Christmas and don't want it to be over yet... but all good things come to an end and with that I'm posting one final Christmas card. I made this card for all the guys (at work) in one of our warehouses, to give to the company mom. She is truely a special lady and does so much for all of us that I wanted the card to be something special and unique. Here's what I came up with :

Obviously one of my favourite stamp lines - Whippersnapper, and I colored it using my Tombo watercolor markers. I punched some snowflake shapes, used a rub-on sentiment, some ribbon from American crafts, 4 black pearls from Kaiser and ta-da!! A cute Chiristmas card.

I hope you enjoy, becasue I'm moving on...
No more Christmas cards for a while!!

I have to get my samples done for February card classes at Precious Memories. So I'd better run. I post some sneak peaks of the classes in a later post. Stay tuned...

Check out all of the classes going on at Precious Memories :

we hope to see you there!!

Quick and Easy Christmas Creations

Okay, so I'm sure you're all feeling the time crunch of Christmas being only one full day away. I know I am!! Why is it whenever you think you're all prepared - you find something else that needs to be done. Well, that's me!! I feel like the list is never-ending. On that note - I'll make this post easy, just like the below samples. I needed a few cards for my siblings and parents (and let's just be honest... I really didn't feel like make MORE Christmas cards) but it had to be done.

I had some kraft bags lying around and I was going to put scratch 'n wins in my siblings cards... so... I skipped the cards and decorated bags instead. I filled them with chocolate and scratch 'n wins. I know they'll love them.

And here is the cards I made, using the same products, for our parents.
In total these projects took me approx. 1 1/2 hours. Not bad for 5 gift bags and 6 cards.

The paper is Basic Grey - Eskimo Kisses and the stamps are Studio G.

Well, gotta run!!
I probably won't be posting until after Christmas so,
Happy Holidays to everyone.

Welcome to my blog...
Forgive me, this is my first blog, so you'll have to bear with me as i figure it all out.
Well, welcome to my world!!
I'm so excited to be able to share my creatvity with others.

At this time in my life, my creative focus is mainly cards.
I love making cards, all of the paper and embellishments... it's like putting a kid in a candy store for me!! My husband would say I'm addicted, but that's a matter of opinion!!

So obviously with the time of year that it is... christmas cards are on my agenda for creating.

I am making a set of cards for my brother's girlfriend's work. She works at an insurance agency and has ordered 165 cards. I have begun creating but I really need to buckle down and get them finished!! I promised them to her by Nov.15th!! So on that note, I should run and use this time to asseble those cards.

Happy Creating!!!
Thanks for checking my blog out!!
Enjoy and Be Inspired to Create!!
