Summertime Fun!!

Hey Everyone,

I have a little something out of the norm for me...
Today I am going to show you a layout I created for a few challenges.

I printed off a whole bunch of photos of my little nefew because I am working on a mini album for my brother but these little photos were just begging for me to use them.

This is Linden, my nefew, he just turned one this past week.
He is swimming at my parents pool. He isn't so fond of the pool so we are slowing introducing him.
I created this layout for the current August challenge at My Mind's Eye.
I used a combination of So Sophie and Quite Contrary.
This layout was also create for the Pink Elephant : Summer Fun challenge
and
Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue.
I obviously decided to go with the "Something New" and the "Something Blue" part.

What do think?
I liked how it turned out!!
Well, have a good day!!

Thanks for stopping by...

Sweet Sunday 5

Hi Everyone!!
Don't cha just love Sundays?? I do!! Except for the fact that this is the last day of my holidays??!! Boo-hoo!! And I'm not looking forward to tomorrow. I know there is a huge pile of work waiting for me. And like a silly - I opened my work email this morning and there is 110 new emails. Ugg. But oh well, I will enjoy this one last day before I get back to the routine!!

Last night I had a bit of time to create so I decided to make a few cards for challenges. I haven't been entering a lot of my favourite challenges lately because time is so short, but last night I managed to make 5 cards for various challenges. So without further adieu, here they are :

Card #1
This was created using the current sketch at Just Us Girls

the color challenge at Just Add Ink

Card #2
This card was created using the sketch at Card Patterns

the current challenge at C4C : cupcakes
and the Stamping Royalty challenge : to create your own patterned paper.

Card #3
Was created using the current sketch at OCC

and the color combo challenge at Color Throwdown

Card #4
Was created using the Sweet Stop sketch

and it qualifies for the embossing challenge at OCC (and so does the next card)

And Card #5
This card was created using the FLT sketch

And was inspired by the current Etsy challenge
Here is my inspiration from the fabulous Etsy Shop : Cathy Walters

I also managed to include the color combo from Color Q

It also qualifies for the OCC embossing challenge.

Phewf!! That was a lot!!
Well, I hope you enjoyed the eye candy. Have a wonderful Sunday!!

Bright and Yummy

Happy Friday All,

Almost the weekend!! Yeah!!!
I have a few pictures to show you today. Yesterday I had a few hours and I decided I would finally tackle a pile of half completed cards that I have on my table. I was so proud of myself because I actually managed to get some of them done!!

Card #1
Was made using the Card Pattern sketch :
and can also be considered for the Papertake Weekly challenge : white and brights

This next card uses the same base and just a different image.
It is for the Pink Elephant challenge : something yummy

I was able to make 8 of these!! (add to the stash)
and I had a little left over paper and a pre-colored image so I threw together this card :

I have about 10 of these colored mice so I made this card with scraps that were lying around on the table. I was hoping to get to use all of the mice but I still have 7 more - so I will definitly be adding those to cards soon!!

This next set has been in the making for about 3 weeks. I picked out everything and had begun assembling them but then just got busy with other things??!! But now they are finally done!! And I adore the crinkly ribbon on them :

and for the last batch of cards...
They are really simple and cute but I love the unique color combo :

Okay well, I hope you enjoyed the inspiration. I love it when the mojo is flowing and you fly through projects!! I'm a happy girl!!

Gotta run!!
Have a good weekend

Wednesday Cards

Hey Everyone,

I am enjoying my week off from work!! I can't believe it's already half over!! But I wanted to post a few cards I made this morning. We are going out today to the river so I have limited time to post...

So here they are :
Card # 1
I created this with the Tuesday Trigger photo from Moxie Fab :

I love the soft colors from the inspiration photo. And I tried to stay true to what I saw.

Card #2
I created this card(s) for The Pink Elephant challenge : something yummy
and
the current challenge at Papertake Weekly : whites and brights

I love the balance of white and bright. I don't often leave so much white on my cards but it's fun to push yourself sometimes. I had to keep reminiding myself to "embrace the white!!"

And for the last card,
Just something fun with an image I had pre-colored and it was jsut sitting there, begging to be used :

Love her!! She's too cute!!

well, gotta run - and enjoy some sunshine!!
Happy Crafting!!

Had to Share

Hi All,

Just had to pop in and share a few pics taken over the last few days!!
I love summer!!
Great weather, family time, lots of laughs...
Anyways, here are some photos from my 7yr old nieces underwater camera. Who knew they would take such great shots??!! My sister picked up this camera from Costco (under $200.00). It's shock proof and water proof up to 33feet. And it takes really good pictures too!!

Here is us playing in my parents pool!! Love it!!

My niece, Rayla

My daughter, Baelee

My nefew, Linden and I

Head stands

And then one last shot, I have to share. This is from last weekend when we went to Cirque Du Soliel. My daughter insisted on wearing a fairy costume (wings and all!!) I figured, what they hay, atleast she'll fit in??!! And she got so much positive comments that she wants to wear it everywhere, too funny!!

Have I mentioned that I love summer??
Well, gotta run. Maybe I will actually get some of these photos into pages soon??
Fingers crossed!!

Journalling Cards

Hey Everyone,
Happy B.C. Day

Today in B.C. its a holiday. Yeah!!
I had the chance yesterday afternoon to create a few cards, so I thought I would share them with you this morning.

I picked up a few things from the craft store, where I teach classes, yesterday. (Not that I need anymore product) but hey, what can I say!!?? One of my favourite lines of paper is My Mind's Eye. I use it alot and I just love the quality and patterned on most of their papers. Yesterday I picked up a bunch of journalling cards. (In hopes of finishing more scrapbook pages) But I ended up create a few cards, instead. Here's what I came up with :

Card #1
these two cards were created using the sketch from I{heart}2Stamp :

Cute, no??! I thought so!!

Card #2
This card was created using the FLT Clean and Simple sketch :

Not my usual color combo, but I have been branching out lately, trying new things. And I have gravitated towards unsual color combos. What do you think?

Card(s) #3
I created a set of 5 of the next card. I used the Card Patternd Sketch

I just love the colors and I couldn't resist the super tiny button embellishment.

Well, I hoping to have more to share later. I have my list of current blog challenges and I hoping to attempt a few more!!

Have a good day.
