Changito Monkeys

Happy Sunday Morning!!

It's early so I don't expect anyone to be up and reading this yet but maybe as your day progresses... I can't seem to stay in bed past 7am??!! What's with that?? But oh well, atleast I can be productive early in the day and then relax in the afternoon.

Have you ever played with the changito monkeys from Stampendous? They are adorable and are designed for all sorts of occasions. In these two photos I have created cards using them and I think they turned out great.

The first monkey is coloured with Tombo watercolours. Super easy - I promise!! (if you like this colored effect you should come out and take my watercolor class in January!!)

And this little guy was colored using pastel chalk. Another quick and easy way to bring these little critters to life!! (I know monkeys aren't blue but I thought he looked cute this way)

Hope you like... (who wouldn't like these adorable little monkeys??)

Christmas Cards

So yesterday we had alot of fun. It was nice to spend some time with my sister. She moved down to Vancouver a few years ago so i don't drive in to see her nearly enough. We (my mom, sister and I) all went out for a delicious lunch. (If you've never eaten at Joey's - I highly recomend it!!) And did some shopping too. Had a great day.

I should have been home finishing up these Christmas orders. Right when I think I'm ahead of the game, someone makes another order. I just received an order from one of my dearest friends. She order 50 assorted cards. Here are the 3 that I'm going to create for her order.

What I've Been Up To

Happy Rememberance Day!!

I woke up this morning at 6:00am  - wasn't very happy because it's a day off and I'm wide awake before 7am, but oh well, what are you gonna do??!! I tried to make the best of it by making some tea and sitting down at my craft desk. I have a bunch of orders that I'm working on, so i knew I wouldn't have any problems figuring out what to do. This morning I had the chance to not only start, but also finish an order for my brother's mother-in-law. I think they turned out absolutely adorable. I used my Sizzix snowman embossing folder and some patterned paper, and voila!! I love the color combo on these. (hope you do too!!)

Another project I finished last night is one for my mom. She loves sunflowers and has asked me for notecards with sunflowers. I picked up a really nice sunflower stamp that i plan on colouring with my Copic markers but I haven't had the time to sit down and color. So I've whipped up some other sunflower cards  using Martha Stewart stickers and cardstock. The ribbon is from Amuse and I also used the Cuttelbug tiny dots embossing folder. Here's how they turned out. (I'm sure my mom will be pleased)

And here's her chistmas order, as well!!

I had alot of time yesterday to be busy, so I also had the chance to complete a large order for my other Brother's girlfriend, Bridgette. Her work has ordered 165 Christmas cards and 2 Hanukah cards. The order is finally complete and ready to be delivered. It took alot of time so I'm thrilled to see it in the box ready to be delivered. I hope they will enjoy them. I really love some of the designs!! (Thanks for the support  - Leslie Canavan Insurance Ltd)

Well gotta run, spending the day with my mom and sister in Vancouver. Hope you all have a nice day. Thanks for dropping by!!

An old favourite

So for the past few days, I have been working on a big christmas card order so I haven't created anything new. I really want to get these finished up so I can use a new stamp set that I've purchased. Stay tuned for cards featuring chandeliers and watercolours. I can't wait to start playing.

But here's a little something to satify your creative bug. Have you played with Stamping Bella's?? I have and I love the stamp line. It's full of whimsy and character. All of them are so divers. Here's a card set I made using the "Ketto" girls. Hope you enjoy!!!

Woo-hoo Halloween is over!!

Yes... we made it through another Halloween!!! As many of you may know, my daughter (who's 5) hates halloween and is scared by everything!! Last year we couldn't even get her to leave the house. But this year we had major success. We enjoyed Halloween over at my husband's sister's house. There, Baelee got a little courage and strength to go out trick-or-treating with her cousin. She did end up enjoying herself and was very excited that her treat bag was over flowing. (Just what I need - a five year old with hoards of candy??!!) But I'm happy that halloween is over. I can finally take my daughter into the grocery store without her head barried in my shoulder! And I can begin focussing on my favourite holiday - CHRISTMAS!! Yippee!! Hey!!

Here are a few halloween cards as I 'bid Halloween adieu'!!
