Summer is on the way...

Hello all of my crafty friends.
I was purusing around blog-land this morning and decided to sit at my craft table to create a few cards of my own.

I colored this image the other day while waiting for one of my husbands specialist appointments. (The doctor was over 2 hours late...) Having been through this before I came preparred with a bunch if copic markers and some prestamped images and made good use of my time. In total we spent 4 hours at the doctors so needless to say, I colored a BUNCH of cute images.

This card was created using the colors at : Color Q

Love this little sweety from Lily of the Valley.
And nothing says summer like picking dandilion and watching them blow in the wind.
That's why I feel this card fits into the Summer challenge at : Paper Romance.
This card also qualifies for the following challenges :

The recipe challenge at : Crazy 4 Challenges
3 - patterned papers
2 - flowers
1 - button

Our Creative Corner - floss (on the button)

Just Add Ink - flowers

I know I used alot of challenges, they all just seemed to work together.
I hope you like and have a good day!!

Paper Flowers

Happy Monday Everyone,

I just popped in to show you a quick card that I created using the Card Patterns sketch.
Here is my take :

I love the unique combo of light green and peach.
I am also entering this for the paper flower challenge at Paper Romance

I tried my hand at creating my own rolled flowers. I love that they are so small and the paper coordinates with the other patterned paper that I used.
Well, I hope you like.
Have a great day!!

LOVE

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are enjoying your Sunday. I just wanted to pop in and share a card that I made for a few challenges. I create it using the sketch from The Sweet Stop.

It's a sketch with a SPIN. The spin this time is "winged things". I went with this adorable winged fairy. This is the first time I've used her on a card. I think she's pretty cute. What do you think?

And I was trying to find a new blade for my paper trimmer and found the crochet flower in a random pocket in my scrapbook bag so I thought it would be perfect for this card.
Love it!!
I am also submitting it for the current challenge at Paper Sundaes : texture.
I decided to add texture with the crochet flower and the rain drop flowers.

Okay, well I'm off to finish my tea and then I'm off to step class. Aggg. But excersize is important and I always feel better once it's done.
Have a good day. Take some time for yourself!!

Easter Goodness

Happy Saturday!!
I had a pretty uneventful day day. Just the way I like it after a LONG week at work. When I was doing my morning blog hopping I found some surprising news. I was one of the TOP 3 at :
 The Sweet Stop.
Yeah!! That was a great way to start off my morning. Thank-you ladies.

Once I actually got my day started, I went grocery shopping and stopped by my LSS and picked up a few new goodies. They have a new gift wrapping section and I was inspired to create a pretty package for my niece for Easter. Here are the results.
I made this adorable 4 pack mini milk carton set. I know my niece will get a kick out of it. Each box is filled with different goodies. And she can use the little milk cartons after in her pretend grocery store.

I used a template that I found online at :
(great website)
It was super easy. I just printed out the template from my computer, directly on the patterned paper. I then cut and scored it and viola! Easy, peasy.
Here's a little picture of the money that I colored for the tag.
And here's a picture of the wrapped package, all ready to go!!

I am entering this for the following challenges :
I hope you like this project and I better run and create a few more packages for my other niece, my daughter and my nefew. Have a good day. Thanks for taking a look.

A Little Easter Inspiration

Hello Everyone,

I was just scrolling through some old photos and stumbled across a great idea that I wanted to share.
I originally posted about this last year :
It's the cutest idea for an Easter project.

MINI JELLYBEAN CARROTS

I think I may revisit this one again this year.

The Easter carrots were a big hit last year and they are so easy.

Well, I hope you like my little inspiration!!
Have a good day!!

Happy Birthday

I have a really quick post for you this morning. I am on my way out the door for work but I wanted to get this card posted before I left.
I made this card using the sketch from Card Patterns.

I love that I found a way to put red and green together and it not be Christmasy.
What do you think? Is it Christmasy?

For the cupcake I used Liquid Applique and a heat gun.
(A must have for dimension - and it's so fun to watch it rize)

Okay well, I really should run but I hope everyone has a great day!!

They are some of the cutest out there.
This week, the challenge was a sketch :
I decided on this little cutie from the Ketto line :

I love the way this turned out. It's so yummy. And the butterflies are velvet. Mmmm, velvet.

Well, I hope you like. Chow for now!!

Happy Birthday

Happy Monday, too!!
Today after work I sat down at the craft table and this is what I came up with :
I used the current sketch over at the My Mind's Eye blog.
I turned the sketch on it's side.
I used a combination of Fine and Dandy & Stella and Rose patterned paper.
The challenge is to also use an "April Showers" theme.

Whenever I think of "April Showers" my mind always finishes that thought off with "Brings May Flowers". My birthday and my daughters birthday are in May - so I went with a birthday card.

There is also a wonderful childhood memories challenge going on over at Paper Sundaes. The challenge is sponsored by Mo Manning - one of my all time favorite artists - so I knew I had to play along.

I remeber having a blue party dress when I was a little girl. I always wanted to wear it but my mom always said that it was for Special Occassions only. I would wake up extra early on school days - quickly slip it on, in hopes that my mom wouldn't notice. She always did!! And I always ended up having to change. So funny that I remember that. What a great memory.

Anyways, enough reminiscing about old times...
I did take a snap shot of the copics used :

Snap shot of the sentiment - love rub-ons

and I added dimension to the balloons with diamond glaze :

Well, I should run and get dinner ready.
Have a great day!!

Birthdays are the Best!

Birthdays really are the best, don't cha think?
I love birthdays - I always have. From as early on as I can remember - I have always loved my birthday. My mom always made each of us kids feel so special on our big day. Being the youngest of 5 it was always so nice to feel like the "STAR" for the day. Growing up we didn't have alot of money but our birthday parties were always the best!! They weren't fancy or expensive, but they really were memorable!!
Thanks mom for all the great birthdays!!

Anyways, on to the card du jour.
I created this little cutie using the following challenges :
Sketch from CPS - love this sketch because it provides a great inspiration for multiple patterned papers (all on the same card- which can be a little tricky...)
Lily of the Valley - green and peach
Make it Colorful - coloring backgrounds
Isn't she darling!! I had so much fun coloring her. I LOVE the unsual color combo. It's right up my alley.

For the Make it Colorful background challenge I decided to draw in a room horizon. I just took the Copic multi-liner and hand drew the wall and floor. It made it easy to fill in the background.

I am also going to include a snap shot of the copic markers I used :
Well, I hope you like!!
See - green and peach really can go together.
Don't be afraid to try unique color combos - you may be surprised at what the outcome will be!!

Have a great day.
this card is for all of you out there in blog-land with April birthdays!!
Happy Birthday!!

Have A Tea-rific Day

Hello Everyone,

After spending the afternoon at my kitchen table, (crafting) I have a card to show you. This card will be kept as a stock pile for June. In my family we have 8 birthdays and father's day in June. So it's a crazy month for birthdays and I like to always give homemade - semi personal cards. This card will be for my mother-in-law.
My mother-in-law and I have TEA in common. We love tea and it seems to be a common thread in our relationship. We usually have tea together everytime I go over there.

I used the current sketch over at Kraftin' Kimmies :
and I was also inspired by the OCC challenge - a tea party. I thought this adorable KK Stamp would fit the challege perfectly!!

I colored her with my fave - Copic markers.
Here is a snap shot of the colors used :
and a few detailed shots of the coloring :

Well, I hope you enjoyed this as much as I'm sure my Mother-in-Law will.
I hope you have a good day and take the time this weekend to share a moment with a loved one.
As my dad would say - "It's all about the love!!"

Thanks for popping by!!

It Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

Christmas cards, that is!!
I am putting together an order for my sister who doesn't live by me. She will be visiting us around Easter and she has gathered her list of cards for the next year, so I am trying to get them all done before that!!

Today I am showing a little set of Christmas thank-you's.
My inspiration was the current sketch at : Card Patterns
I know, I know - you are all probably thinking "Christmas cards already???". But it's better to be prepared than be scurrying at the las minute. What can I say - my sister is a planner. ;)
If you want to play along with the Christmas Card All Year Round challenge, you can check out all of the details here. And you have a whole month to get your cards in!!

Okay, well, I am off to enjoy the sun while it's still showing it's beautiful face.
Have a good day.
