1 Stamp - 2 Cards

Hello Everyone,

Happy Monday - if there is such a thing...

I am trying to stay positive because it's a short week here in Canada,

 with Friday being Canada's birthday.

Speaking of birthdays - today is my hubby's birthday!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE!!

I think we are going out for dinner tonight? He hasn't decided yet??!!

But enough about that,

today I am going to show you 2 cards that I made using one stamp. This stamp is one from Kraftin' Kimmie. Both of the images and the sentiments all are from the same stamp.

Card #1

I colored miss Goldilocks with copics and used MME paper.

I also used the sketch from Sketchbook Saturday

and was inspired by the Moxie Fab challenge - beautiful borders.

The 3 rolled flowers are actually the decorative edges of a piece of MME 12 x 12 patterned paper. I just rolled them up - inked the top edge and adhered them to the card base with big glue dots.

Here you can see a bit more of the dimension :

(I thought that was pretty clever & creative??!!)

Card #2

I used the Annabelle sketch for this one.

I was originally going to put Goldilocks on this card but I thought the paper was so pretty on it's own, I thought I would leave it. And then I found the felt ribbon that matched and knew that this card would stand out enough on it's own.

Okay, well I should run so I can be ready for when the birthday boy arrives home.

Out of the Norm...

So I have a quick post for everyone tonight.

I am going to show you a card I made for a few challenges :

Card Patterns Sketch Challenge

And OCC - using felt or flocking

I went for the felt flower ribbon and a felt leaf detail.

Not my usual coloring style - but I was in the mood for something different.

And the sentiment is one of my favourites.

Doilies Attempt

Doilies - WOW

Way out of my comfort zone!!

I tend to make bold, bright colorful cards. I wouldn't say that my style is very antique-ish or floofy, but I thought I would REALLY stretch myself to complete a card for the current doilie challenge at one of my favourite spots - Moxie Fab World.

Now don't get me wrong - I know doilies are in and you can see them being used all over the place but for me - it's a reach!!! So here's what I came up with :

Okay well, I hope you like my attempt. I'm sure you'll see more doily cards form me considering I had to buy a pack of 100. LOL!!

Well, it's half way over... and that means we are on cruise control to the weekend!! Yeah!!

Yesterday I spent the day at home with my daughter because she has a bad cold and didn't go to school. I had time to do a few cards and here's how they turned out!!

I love how this turned out. Not a typical colour combo for me but I think I love purple and orange together. The paper was an incredible inspiration!! Love it!! (If I do say so myself??!!)
