Well, it's half way over... and that means we are on cruise control to the weekend!! Yeah!!

Yesterday I spent the day at home with my daughter because she has a bad cold and didn't go to school. I had time to do a few cards and here's how they turned out!!

I love how this turned out. Not a typical colour combo for me but I think I love purple and orange together. The paper was an incredible inspiration!! Love it!! (If I do say so myself??!!)

Just wanted to make a quick post of a card I created for the CARDVAARKS blog challenge. It was to create a wedding card.

I'm sure alot of people don't typically make alot of wedding cards, but believe it or not, I do. I have a large family - 5 brothers and sisters - we are all in our 20's and ealry 30's so alot of people around us are getting married. And I seem to be the go-to-girl for cards. I love making them. My brothers and sister always come to me to make them cards for special events. Actually everyone in my family is very supportive and they all ask me to create for them. I have a wonderful family and am very lucky to be close with them.

Okay, well, I digress...

Here's my creation :

So, if you are following any of the olympic news then you may know the torch is making it's way across the province of B.C. Today the torch was in the city I live in, Langley. As exciting as that is... they decided to do the majority of todays events on our street. Traffic nightmare!! Or so I thought... I left work a little early so that I wouldn't be late for getting my daughter and I was quite early. So I came home and enjoyed some quiet at my craft table. Here's what I came up with :

For the color challenge at : There She Goes (pink, red, brown)

This handsome little devil is a stamp from Penny Black. Too cute!!

and I used a new product, for me. I just picked some up. I don't have a clue how long it's been around?? Probably forever. But I love new finds - even if I'm the last one to know. It's called diamond glaze. It's glue and it makes whatever you apply it to, appear glossy and raised. Kinda cool, right??!!

Not the best picture... but I assure you, it's pretty cool stuff!!

And here is another card I created using another stamp from the same Penny Black acrylic set.

I paper pieced the balloon (for dimension) and it's colored with Tombow watercolor markers.

And as a last step, I added Stickles to the flowers for some sparkle.

A Few More

** I had originally intened to post this Monday but realized one of the cards had to be submitted tonight so here is another post **

So I had a bunch of fun creating today and it's been a long time coming. AWHOLE WEEK without doing anything just for the fun of it!!

I was super busy last week and I'm sure this week will be no different. Tomorrow I will send my samples over to a company that is looking for invites for a company BBQ. I hope they like the samples and I'll post the one that they choose to go with. And then Tuesday I have a meeting with a couple who is getting married and looking for wedding invites. I teach a copic card class on Wednesday night. Thursday I am planning on making chocolate lollipops, in molds, with my daughter for her class for valentine's day. And then before you know it - it will be Friday again. Ohh, how I long for Friday!!

I love how it turned out. I made a previous card that I thought would go to my husband this year for valentine's day, but I think this one has just moved into the #1 spot. (and it doesn't hurt that blue is his favorite color)

Busy, Busy, Busy

Hi Everyone,

I am still alive!! I have had a very busy week. I wanted to say "hi" and let everyone know that there will be some inspiration coming in the form of cards!! (I've missed almost all of ym favourite challenges and it's driving me crazy!!)

I have been busy this week prepping for 120 kindergarten valentines. My daughter is in Kindergarten and I agreed to doing a day of valentine's with them. It was alot of work getting everything ready but it was well worth it!! The kids seemed to have a great time!! And I really enjoyed myself. The kids are so cute!! I wish I had some time to take pics but I was just too busy.

And then on top of that - I have had to do samples for 3 different clients. 2 wedding and 1 company party. I will post how it goes, later in the week, and maybe I'll even find some time to photograph the samples.

Well, I'm going to run but during the commercials of the SUPER BOWL I'm going to try and get some cards finished!! GO SAINTS!! (can you tell who we're rooting for in our house??!!)
