5 For Friday

Happy Friday Everyone,

Ahh, the weekend. I don't really have much on the go this weekend so I am looking to get some card making in. Yippee. Tonight I am going to show you 5 cards that I made last night. I whipped these cards up quite quickly. I used the same background layout for all and then just embellished them differently. I used the new Jillibean Soup - Spotted Owl Soup patterned paper. Love it. It has owls - need I say more?? (I'm a little obsessed with owls.)

What do you think? They are all similar but all unique. I really like how they turned out and I'm glad to have a few more masculine birthday cards in my stash.

Live-Love-Laugh

Happy Saturday Everyone,

Today I have a little something special for you!!

I am going to be showing you the creation of my daughter.

She is 6 and loves to create and be artistic, like her mama.

This week over at Make it Colorful they are inviting the little kiddos to get invloved. I knew I had to tell my daughter because she is quite often sitting at the craft table creating with me.

I told her about the current challenge and she jumped at the chance to create a card. The cards had to have some sort of dots on them, so she decided to go with polka dot paper.

Here is her lovely card :

Isn't is sweet?!!

She chose to color with felts and she even chose the sentiment herself.

Love it!!

Happy Birthday w/ Cool Grey

Happy Friday,

and a happy Friday it is!!

Love Fridays!! Love the weekend and the break from the routine of work. This weekend will be filled with family as it is Mother's Day here in Canada.

Today I have a cute little card here to show you. I am entering it for the

Mad 4 Markers challenge : GREYS

&

Make it Colorful challenge : black w/ a hint of red.

Okay so mine ended up being a bit more of a balance between red and black but I love it all the same.

I love coloring black hair although it can be a little tricky. I think the best combo for black hair using Copic markers is the "C" greys. I think the COOL tones work best for a black effect.

Okay well, I'm off but I hope to be back soon with some more to share.

Beary Distressed

Back Again,

Hey Everyone, I told you that I would have some more to share. I could have put them all in the same post but I have had comments that it can sometime be confusing so I try and keep them seperate now.

This little card was created for the

 DISTRESSING challenge at Delightful Sketches

So, what do you think? I inked all of the edges with Memento Cocoa ink and I also distressed the one bottom edge by ripping it and then inking it.

Okay, well, the sun is shining, my husband should be up soon and I am off to enjoy the day!!

Go spend some time with someone you love, have a good laugh and make someone smile. It will warm your heart - I guarantee!!

Mojo Monkeys

Three Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed...

Okay I am going to make this post short and sweet. I am hoping to get this card submitted before the collection closes.

Today I am going to show you a card trio that was created using the Mojo Monday Sketch :

I decided on this little monkey image. Colored with Copics, of course.

Isn't he adorable. He was so adorable I created three cards. All the same sketch just a little variation of the patterned paper.

I inked all of the edges with Memento Pear Tart. I was a little nervous at first but I love how it turned out. A soft, unique color combo.

It is with a sad heart...

Good Morning Everyone,

This morning I have some sad news to share. My time as an instructor over at Precious Memories has officially come to an end. I LOVED working there as a class teacher but it was just TOO time consuming so I had to reluctantly say good bye.

It was the best year and half. The ladies were AMAZING and WONDERFUL and so KIND. I am sad to say goodbye. I wish there was more hours in a day then maybe my creative juices wouldn't be so sparatic. I just felt like I wasn't producing anything new or exciting for all the fabulous people who take classes, so I thought it was my time to say goodbye.

I want to say a BIG thank-you to all of the ladies who work at Precious Memories, along with the other instructors. You ladies are the BEST!!! And I am so sad today to actually being saying goodbye. But I will still be around. You will see me in there shopping and hopefully taking classes with the other ladies.

So cheers to you - Precious Memories!!

For taking me under your wing - giving me a chance to show my creative efforts - and accepting me into this wonderful group of ladies.

I will miss you!!

Summer is on the way...

Hello all of my crafty friends.

I was purusing around blog-land this morning and decided to sit at my craft table to create a few cards of my own.

I colored this image the other day while waiting for one of my husbands specialist appointments. (The doctor was over 2 hours late...) Having been through this before I came preparred with a bunch if copic markers and some prestamped images and made good use of my time. In total we spent 4 hours at the doctors so needless to say, I colored a BUNCH of cute images.

This card was created using the colors at : Color Q

Love this little sweety from Lily of the Valley.

And nothing says summer like picking dandilion and watching them blow in the wind.

That's why I feel this card fits into the Summer challenge at : Paper Romance.
