My first class tonight!! Ahh!!

Okay, well, it's gotta be a quick post tonight.

I'm off to teach my first class at Precious Memories. Ahh!! Kinda nervous. And I've been antsy all day - so what do I do to calm my nerves? Cardmaking!!

I know the red wasn't one of the colors but it was already one the patterned paper and the paper was too cute to resist!!

Owls, Flowers and Butterflies

Happy Sunday,

I had a pretty productive day. Spent the morning with my husband and daughter and niece and then went to the craft store, where I am teaching classes, to do some prep work for an upcoming class on Wednesday. It's my first class, and I gotta admit - I'm kinda nervous!! I know I shouldn't be - but I've never taught anything before...

ahh well, I guess I just gotta jump in both feet first!!

Challenge Entries

So as you may / or may not know...

I'm kinda new to this whole blog world but already, I've caught the bug. One of my favourite parts of the day is sitting at my computer with a cup of tea and pouring through all of the amazing blogs out there in blog-world!! This week I have made 3 cards for a few different challanges.

Happy Little Card Set

Happy Friday Everyone!!

It's been a long week and I love that's it's Friday!!

I have been working on a few of these card sets all week.

I picked up an adorable stamp set from a local garage sale for $7.00 (*score*) It's so cute :

I knew it would be perfect for a house warming gift for my mother-in-law. She just moved and I haven't had the chance to get a little something over to her, so this is what I came up with :

I made five of these sets of 6 cards each. They are a simple design but I wanted the stamps to be the focal point so I just changed the colors and background texture for each. I achieve the texture by using different Cuttlebug embossing folders.

I colored the images with these Copic Markers.

It went really fast because the images are so little.

I think they turned out adorable and I brought one set over to my mother-in-laws, and she loved them.

5 Challenges - 1 Post!!

I'm back again and I'm having a fabulous morning. It's my day to work from home in the morning and then the rest of the day is free!! And today especially because my husband took my car to work this morning so I can't go anywhere (it's a good excuse to stay home a create!) I've had some fun this morning creating for a few different challenges. This first card(s) I'm going to show you are for the Color Q blog. The challenge was to use these colors as inspiration :

I really liked the colors but as you may or may not know I'm not really known to create such soft color palats. But I thought I'd give it a whirl and I really like to first card so I decided to make two. The card format came form a different challenge over at : MoJo Monday. I'm always looking for different card layouts and I really liked this one!! Here's the sample sketch followed by my take...

it was to *BLING* our creations. Although both of the cards on this post have *bling* - it's easrier to see the *BLING* on the second card.

the challenge was to use this photo as inspiration :

  

and I used the sketch from Caarvarks

I used patterned paper from Kaiser Craft and American Crafts. The flower were created by punching two different sized flower out of tissue paper. And then I inked the edges and glued them all together using a glue pen. I thought the layers kinda looked like the layers of the cabbage.
