Stop and Smell the Roses

First off, I have to say...
Ohhhh, my poor Canucks.
I don't know if anyone follows hockey but I live in Vancouver, Canada and we definitly have the hockey fever. Game 4 just ended and we lost 4 - 0. Boo hoo!! I am not jumping off the band wagon yet - I've still got my fingers crossed. We definitly need to win the next one!!

Okay well, on to something a bit more cheerful.
I have card to show you tonight that used the colors from

Happy Sunday to you all,

It is beautiful and gorgeous here. Ahhh, spring has finally arrived. (If anyone reading is from Western Canada - they know what I mean...) It has been a long haul and finally we are seein a break in the weather. I am going to make this post short and sweet becasue my family is heading out todya to enjoy some of this beautiful day!!

I created this card using my new My Mind's Eye paper pad and an adorable teddy bear from Whipper Snapper.

I used the sketch over at : The Sweet Stop

This was my first attempt to stitch on the paper. I appoligize for the crocked lines. If anyone has any stitching tips, I would love to know....

I am also submitting this card for :

Bright and Cheery Card Set

Good Evening Everyone,

I have just made a previous post for another 5 pack of matching cards and now I am going to show you a girly set of cards. With the end of my daughters school year fast approaching, I thought I would make a couple of thank-you card sets, as gifts, for her teachers. All of the patterned papers, embellishment stickers and rub-on are from Pebbles. Love them!! You should check out their store for other great products!!

Here is the result :

This is the card set box.
I am submitting it for the Color Throwdown challenge :

I love the belly band!!

With all of the floral patterns and embellishments I am also entering it for the :
By the Cute and Girly : In the Garden Challenge

Here are all of the cards :

Well, that's it. I hope you are inspired by all of these.

Have a good day.

Thanks, Alexis

5 For Friday

Happy Friday Everyone,

Ahh, the weekend. I don't really have much on the go this weekend so I am looking to get some card making in. Yippee. Tonight I am going to show you 5 cards that I made last night. I whipped these cards up quite quickly. I used the same background layout for all and then just embellished them differently. I used the new Jillibean Soup - Spotted Owl Soup patterned paper. Love it. It has owls - need I say more?? (I'm a little obsessed with owls.)

What do you think? They are all similar but all unique. I really like how they turned out and I'm glad to have a few more masculine birthday cards in my stash.

I am submitting these cards for the following blog challenges :

Scrap Creations : blue, yellow and green
Fab 'n Funky : What'eva challenge
(I would love to considered for the DT or the GDT)
Cute Cards : embellish

I hope you like this little collection. If you are inspired by this paper - one of my favourite teachers (and people) is instructing a class using this patterned paper over at Precious Memories.
Check out the class schedual here.
Or you can pop over to Jillibean Soup and pick up some paper for your own creations.

Have a good night.
I will be back later with some more...

Stay tuned!!
