Birthdays Are The Best!

Happy Sunday Evening
to all of my blogger friends!!

Tonight I am going to show you a cheerful birthday card.
I had a few jumping of inspirations :

Isn't this gorgeous color inspiration?

and I used the sketch from Clean and Simple

Here is my take :

It was nice to actually break out some of my lonely, lonely colored inks. I always seem to gravitate to my brown and black ink. I have a rather large assortment of colored ink, (which always turn out fab) but I always seem to forget about them?

Okay, well I better run!!
Have a great week!!
Enjoy the rest of the evening!!

A hug...

Good Morning Ladies (and gentlemen?)

I love Sunday mornings. I wake up early so I have a quiet house and I roam through all my fave blogs and catch up while having a cup of tea. Ahhh, what a great way start the day.
This moning I want to post a card that I made yesterday. I don't have alot of time because my mom and I are heading out for a hike this morning and I'm just waiting for her call, so let's jump right to it.

The current challenge over at OCC is to incorporate a ATC - Artist Trading Card.
A little ATC info in case you don't know what they are :

They always measure 2.5 x 3.5".
They were started by imitating baseball, other sports cards and playing cards, thus the size.
They are often traded but are not supposed to be sold. An ATC created for sale is usually called an ACEO, 'Art Cards, Editions and Originals'.

And they also wanted us to incorporate a color scheme :
I went with kraft, cream, brown, and aqua

I just love this saying. It's so cute and so true!!
And I love these tiny clothes pins. Too cute!!

I also took the inspiration for this card from the current Case Study Challenge.
Here is the muse's card :

and here is my take :

I am also submitting this card for the EIC challenge.
Here is the photo I choose to be inspired by :
You can find this necklace and other at Fresh Metal Jewellery

Well, I hope you like my take on these varous inspirations. And I hope you have a fabulous day.

See you soon,
~Alexis

Spring Joy

Good Evening Friends,

I had a little time to play at my crafting table.
(a.k.a. the dining room table)
and I am going to show you one of the cards that I created.
I created it using the sketch from The Sweet Stop

and the current challenge at Stamp Something : Spring

I just love the springy colors. It's so cheerful!!
Another detail that I love is the ribbn slider cupcake.
It is from the company : My Little Yellow Bicycle

Well, I hope you enjoy. I have to run and get dinner started.
Have a good night, I'll be back tomorrow with another!!

See you then...

You Make Me Smile!

Hey Everyone,

This afternoon I was browsing through some of my favourite blogs. One of my friends had posted a card she made using some of her new buttons.  And I remembered that I had also bought some new buttons and it sparked the need for me to want to break them out!!

I created a card using the new CPS Sketch and some new Nikki Sivils patterned paper.

Love this little turtle.

Well, my computer has been giving me troubles and it has taken me over an hour to post this, so I gotta run!!

Have a great night!!

I'm A Neglectful Blogger...

Happy Sunday Everyone,
I know, I know,
I have been M.I.A. for a few weeks. I have been super busy at work and that has left me with little time or energy for being creative. I am going to get "back in the saddle" soon.

I thought I would share a couple cute pics from last weekend. I took a girls weekend with my daughter, mom and sister. It was full of shopping, laughs and good times. We went to Seattle and did all of the fun touristy things.
My mom, sister and daughter in the elevator of our hotel.
at Pike's Place Market - so fun!!
Kissing fish in the market
Shopping and a pose!!

It was alot of fun and I hated having to come back to reality. Boo-Hoo.
Anyways, thanks for checking in and stay tuned for some long awaited cards.

Thanks, Alexis
